Dr. Kyle Thorsrud was born in Traverse City, Michigan and raised in Grosse Ile, Michigan.  He attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with high distinction.  He went on to dental school and earned his D.D.S. at the State University of New York School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.

Dr. Thorsrud completed a four-year residency program at the Detroit Medical Center, where he received full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery training with an emphasis on facial trauma and dentoalveolar surgery.  He practiced for five years in Wyandotte, Michigan before joining Harbor Light Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. 

As a caring surgeon with a patient centered approach, Dr. Thorsrud enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular interests in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, oral pathology and facial trauma.  He holds membership in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Thorsrud enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.  He is also an avid outdoorsman and appreciates time hunting, fishing, boating, and outdoor cooking.
